Conception of Saint John the Baptist 10/6/2013
On this day is commemorated the mercy, the miracle and the wisdom of God; the mercy upon the devout and rightful parents of Saint John the Baptist, the elders Zacharias and Elizabeth, who all their lives wished for and implored God to grant them a child; the miracle of the conception of John in the womb of the elder Elizabeth.
