Hierarch’s Divine Liturgy ( 23.10.2005 )

“Open my lips, O most bright, with your God-pleasing prayers to stand before God, O all-glorious holy Confessor: to praise your life in hymns, and declare worthily your virtues, which you performed on earth with warmest love, you who were a firm confessor, with self-restraint you corrected faith, and embraced vigilance and purity, O Theophilus, most bright father.” (Verses at Matins)

 

 

        

 

 

Today, on the day of Saint Theophilus of Strumica, in the church dedicated to this Saint in the village of Gičerlija (Strumica area), Metropolitan Nahum of Strumica celebrated Divine Liturgy. The present faithful at the Liturgy partook of the Holy Mysteries of Christ.

 

 

       

 

 

“The Providence’s talent having multiplied, all-praised, you resembled the joy of your Lord, adorned with the grace of Divine radiance, and with the spiritual light shining, you stand now before the right hand of the Life-giver, thence with light illumined, O glorious Theophilus.” (Verses at Vespers)
