Saint Parasceva, Skopje ( 05.01.2006 )

During the New Year’s night, according to the traditional custom, Metropolitan Nahum of Strumica performed an all-night Vigil in the church of Saint Parasceva in Skopje. At the Vigil there were numberless faithful present, from the capital city as well as from the whole Republic, who partook of the Holy Body and Blood of Christ.

“Do you want to pray? Then renounce this world’s things. Embrace the heavens as your fatherland and dwell there at all times – not in the visible world, but in works that resemble the angelic ones and in greater God-like knowledge.” (the Philocalia)
