Star Dojran, Hierarch’s Divine Liturgy ( 15.05.2005 )

In the church of Saints Gregory Palamas and Maximus the Confessor in the monastery complex of Saint Parthenius of Zographou in Star Dojran, today Metropolitan Nahum of Strumica celebrated Divine Liturgy.

 

Have mercy on me, Son of God, and open the eyes of my soul to see the light of the day (John 9:5)—You, God, and to become myself a son of the Divine day (1Thess. 5:5). Forsake me not, O Good One, as one unworthy without a share in Your Divinity. Show Yourself, O Lord, to me so that I know that you have loved me, as one who has kept Your Divine commandments, Master. Send the Comforter, O Merciful One, to me as well, so that He teaches me about You, and proclaims to me, God of all, about Yours. Shine forth within me, O Merciful, the light of the truth (John 1:9), to behold Your glory, that You had from the Father before the creation of the world (John 17:5). Stay, as You said, within me as well (John 17:23) so that I am rendered worthy to stay in You, and to come to know that I am indwelt in You, and come to know that I have attained You within me. Wish, O Invisible, Your image to be portrayed in me (Gal. 4:19), so that beholding Your uncreated beauty I bear within me Your icon (1Cor. 15:49), and to forget all visible, O Heavenly One. Grant me the glory Your Father gave You, O Merciful, to be one of Your servants, in Your likeness a god by grace, and with You permanently, now and forever, and unto the ages.
