Baptism ( 13.10.2005 )

On the day of the Venerable Chariton the Confessor, on October 11, 2005, in the church of Saint Parasceva in Skopje, Metropolitan Nahum of Strumica performed the Holy Mystery of Baptism.

“The Mystery of our union with God, the Mystery of remission of sins, and the gift of the new life of men in Christ is performed with baptism in water. The water in itself has no specific meaning; it is simply a “symbol”. Yet, when it is sanctified, i.e. when it is filled with the Holy Spirit, it is endowed with the power of Christ and in it man truly unites with Christ and wholly – with both body and soul – is renewed for a new life.
