The Elder said: “He who wants to be delivered from the sins dwelling within him, is delivered from them by mourning; the one who does not want to fall into sins again alike with mourning avoids the fall in them. That is the road of repentance handed down by the Scriptures and the Fathers, who have said: mourn, you have no other road but mourning.”
