Divine Liturgy in the monastery in Vodoča ( 05.05.2006 )

On the day when the Church of God celebrates the memory of the Venerable Theodore of Sykeon, in the chapel of Saints Gregory Palamas and Joseph the Spilaioti in Saint Leontius’ monastery in Vodoča, Metropolitan Nahum of Strumica celebrated Divine Liturgy.

 

                        

 

“…Every short prayer can reach that level, yet the Jesus prayer has the primacy because it unites soul with Lord Jesus, which is the sole way to a union with God, which is the goal of this prayer. Himself He said, ‘No one comes to the Father except through Me’ (John 14:6). Therefore he who acquires this prayer receives within him the whole power of the salvific struggle, which is what our salvation consists in.” (Saint Nicodemus the Hagiorite)
