Hierarch’s Divine Liturgy ( 06.02.2005 )
In the chapel of the Holy hesychasts Gregory Palamas and Joseph Spilaioti in Vodoča today Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Metropolitan Nahum of Strumica.
“Not anyone from the beginners could never banish the thought, if God didn’t exile it. Only for the vigorous is peculiar to fight with the thoughts and to banish them. Even they don’t banish them quite alone, but God, because they are clothed in His arms, urges them on to oppose. Hence they, when the thoughts arrive, unceasingly and zealously cry to Lord Jesus, and thereupon the thoughts run away, not resisting the heartiness which comes from the prayer, and burst like scorched by fire. Whip our enemies with the Name of Jesus, therefore our God is a fire who extirpate the malice.” (St. Gregory Sinaite)
