Venerable Theodore of Stoudion 11/24/2013
Saint Theodore was a renowned abbot of the Monastery of Stoudion, a great defender of the icons, a wise governor of the monastery life, an Orthodox teacher inspired by God and a zealous ascetic. He died in peace in Constantinople in 826, when he was sixty-eight years of age.
