Heads of local Orthodox Churches call for establishment of unity between the Russian Church Outside of Russia and the Moscow Patriarchate ( 12.05.2006 )

In their epistles to the IV All-Diaspora Council participants in San Francisco, the Heads of local Orthodox Churches have expressed their support for the union of the Russian Church.

“We must realize that love unites, while evil divides”, Patriarch Elijah II of Georgia said, underlining that the establishment of normal relations between the two Churches and the resolution of some other issues have enormous importance for the whole Orthodoxy.

“Your sorrow has been ours as well; so will your joy be ours, too”, Patriarch Maxim of Bulgaria said.
